How does the face analysis work?
You take or pick a selfie. The photo is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) for analysis. The AI returns scores across 11 categories, plus tips tailored to you. The photo is not stored on our servers.
Where is my data stored?
Analysis results and your onboarding answers are stored locally on your device. We do not keep your photo after the AI returns the analysis. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstalling Umax removes all locally stored data. You can also open the app, go to Settings → Privacy, and tap "Revoke AI Analysis Consent" to clear stored analyses and disable online analysis.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions → Umax → Cancel Subscription. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
I bought Premium but the app says I'm still on the free tier. What do I do?
Open Umax, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID you used to buy. If it still doesn't work, email us with your Apple receipt.
Is my face data used to train AI models?
No. Per Google's Generative Language API terms, content submitted via the API is not used to train Google's models for API users. We do not train any model on your photos ourselves.
What languages does the app support?
Umax is fully localized in 22 languages, including English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese (BR), Dutch, Swedish, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Indonesian, Malay, Vietnamese, Thai, and Hindi.
Why does the app need camera and photo library access?
Camera access is used only when you choose to take a new selfie for analysis. Photo library access is used only when you pick an existing photo. Permissions are requested the first time you use each feature and can be revoked anytime in iOS Settings.
The analysis result seems wrong or unfair — what should I do?
AI analysis is for entertainment and personal guidance only. Results are not medical or diagnostic. Lighting, angle, and image quality can significantly affect scoring. Try a well-lit, front-facing photo. If you have feedback about specific categories, email us — we read every message.
Can I use Umax without the internet?
Core face analysis requires internet because the image is sent to the AI provider. Viewing past results and editing profile preferences work offline.
